I have used FatCow for a few years. I only ever had one technical issue that the decent database of FAQ style answers couldn’t solve and the response I got from the company was timely (within a few hours) and a complete answer. Secondly, it’s actually fairly common for a company to want to try to auto-charge your next year of service (I’ve experienced this with Yahoo!, Go Daddy and Host Gator). There’s a star next to the start-up initial price (who doesn’t see that and investigate what it might mean? Be smarter when you spend your money.) If you go investigate there is a link informing you of what the following year’s price will look like. This too, is not uncommon. Good intro prices are a marketing hook but nobody paying attention gets duped. Overall I have found FatCow to deliver what they promise. However, it’s still budget hosting, pay the extra dollars for a fancier host if that’s what your site requires. I however would recommend FatCow as a great host for the price
